WVFF 2022 Auction Bidder Instructions:
Thank you for bidding on an item in the 2022 Auction. Your money will go to of the activities of the club including operation, conservation, recreation and education. The following is the process that the auction committee has determined to work best for this year’s event:
Items will fall under three categories:
- Tangible Items including fishing rods, reels, lines, fly tying gear and materials, custom tied flies, artworks both sports-related and decorative, quilts, household (cookware, storage, custom placemats), tools etc.
- Recreational Lodging including time share blocks, shared and owned cabins, condos and other lodging in desirable (and accessible!) locations.
- Experiences including hosted dinners, guided camping and fishing trips, again, well-planned, accessible and practical. (No spots on the next Mt. Everest climbing season, sorry!)
Bidding Process:
Ahead or during the auction:
- Google 32 Auction and find the website (Fig 1)
- Click on the login button on the upper right corner

- You will see the next screen (Fig 2)
- Find the “create account” link and click on it

- Fill in your information (Fig 3)
Note that bidder accounts are free

When you are ready to bid:
- Before the auction, you will receive an email with a link to the auction.
- Non-member bidders will be invited as well by PSAs, word of mouth, contacts with club members (please do!), community websites etc.
- When you are ready to bid, click on the link and it will open up the auction and display the items (Fig 4)
- Find an item you like.

- Place a bid (either a proxy (hidden “maximum limit” bid) or an immediate bid, which will show up on the screen right away. (Fig 5)

- When bidding on the item closes and you are the winner, payment options will come up. You can use PayPal or Stripe directly or use them to enter a one-time credit card payment.
- Complete the transaction. We will get you the contact information for the seller of the item and you can make arrangements to pick up or ship the item. Those arrangements will be between you and the seller for tangibles. We will send out certificates or contact information for intangibles or items from commercial companies.
